How do I return an item?

Any returns must be authorized in writing by Black Magic 3D. To receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and shipping instructions, please fill out the Contact Us form and include your order number.

Unopened Merchandise

Customer may return any new, unopened items within 30 days of receiving merchandise for a refund less shipping and handling, and potentially subject to a 10% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for shipping costs on all merchandise not returned due to defect. Customers should expect to receive their refund within and up to four weeks from the date on which returned merchandise is received at Black Magic 3D. Black Magic 3D will notify the customer via email upon arrival of their returned merchandise.

Custom Work

The aforementioned policy does not apply to custom projects. It is solely within the discretion of Black Magic 3D whether or not to offer returns for custom work.

Defective Merchandise

Defective merchandise may be returned for a full refund, less initial shipping and handling, or exchanged for replacement goods within 60 days of customers' receipt of merchandise. If the customer desires a replacement sample, Black Magic 3D will pay for return shipping, as well as the shipment of replacement merchandise. Merchandise is considered defective if it is not within an admissible range of the product specifications listed online, or if it arrives damaged or contaminated. Merchandise is not considered defective if it does not work for a particular application, but still meets the product specifications. The "Applications" sections within product descriptions are considered potential, and are not a guarantee of product efficiency for any application. Black Magic 3D products are exclusively for research.

Black Magic 3D accepts purchase orders on Net 30 terms from major Universities and corporations.
